Dulse Co started as nothing more than a spark of an idea back in 2023 - a quiet dream to bring sustainable seaweed aquaculture to the Midwest, where few imagined it was even possible.

The reality was far from glamorous. Each of our twelve tanks, stretching forty feet across, demanded weeks of planning, problem-solving, and the kind of persistence you only discover once you’ve already committed. We laid down more than 2,000 feet of plumbing just to connect the system, slowly building the network that now circulates nearly 500,000 gallons of water through our facility.

And the water? We’ve kept it circulating from day one - recycled, refreshed, and reused - almost two years old now, a small symbol of our promise not to waste what the planet gives us.

This journey has been anything but predictable. Every day teaches us something new: about aquaculture, about sustainability, and about ourselves. Dulse Co is still growing, still learning, and still driven by the same simple dream that started it all.
